How do I get to Amaca Beach Retreat in Quimixto?
Access is part of the adventure. First, head to Boca de Tomatlán (25 minutes from Puerto Vallarta). There, you will board our included boat (20-minute scenic ride) that will take you directly to our dock. With your reservation confirmed, you will receive detailed instructions with maps and contact information.
What should I pack for my stay?
We recommend: comfortable, lightweight clothing (maximum two changes per day), swimsuit, biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent, sandals and shoes for light hiking, sweatshirt for cool evenings, cash in Mexican pesos for crafts and extra services, power bank (electricity is limited), and a book or board games to unwind.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our policies vary depending on the type of reservation: Rooms – 100% refund with 15 days' notice; Weddings/Events – non-refundable deposit, flexible for rescheduling; Tours – full refund with 48 hours' notice. See our Full Terms and Conditions here.

Is there cell phone and Wi-Fi reception?
We have satellite Wi-Fi in common areas (sufficient for basic messages and emails). Cell phone reception is limited—the perfect opportunity for a digital detox! In emergencies, we have a satellite phone available 24/7.
Do you accept credit cards or just cash?
We accept credit/debit cards for your reservation and purchases at the hotel. However, we recommend bringing cash in Mexican pesos for purchases from local vendors, tips, or external services.
What food and beverage options are available?
Our restaurant El Volador offers: continental and international breakfast (7:00-11:00 AM), lunch and dinner with fresh local ingredients (1:00-9:00 PM), vegan, gluten-free, and detox options (please let us know in advance), and a bar with craft cocktails and select wines.

All stays include: access to private beach and common areas, use of hammocks and relaxation areas, guided walk to the waterfall (10:00 AM daily). Additional activities such as massages, horseback riding, and tours can be booked through Local Concierge.
Can I host a wedding or special event?
We specialize in destination weddings! We offer: sunset beach ceremonies, all-inclusive packages for groups of 2-50 people, coordination of all details (flowers, music, catering). View our wedding portfolio here.
Is it safe to swim in the sea?
Yes, our beach is generally calm. We recommend: the best time for swimming is from October to May (gentle waves), avoid swimming at night or after heavy rain, always supervise young children, and check with our team about the conditions on the day.

What security measures do you have?
Your safety is our priority: first aid kit and trained staff, 24/7 satellite phone for emergencies, partnership with the nearest clinic (Mismaloya, 25 min by boat), safety protocols for water activities, and common areas lit at night.
